I currently shoot with Hasselblad and edit with Phocus. People often refer to Capture one as a superior program. I have never used it so I’m wanting to learn, what are the differences between phocus and capture one? Is there any advantage one way or the other?
For my part, phocus has been excellent though I’m sure the shadow and highlight adjustments, and the dust removal tool need improving. But that’s about it.

Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,

Welcome to LQF33

Phocus is the software of Hasselblad. Capture One Pro (the software of Phase One) might not support all Hasselbald cameras. As far as I remember, the newer X2D etc. are not supported in C1. Please check this on the Capture One website for your Hassy camera.

You can always download a 30 day free trial to get a first impression of C1.

Welcome, Mark !
I believe that files from Hassy will be hard to edit with Capture One, since Capture One does not support Hassy files AFAIK
